DHR from Siliguri to Darjeeling can be resumed if no major landslide occurs.

If no major landslide takes place at Pagaljhora than the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway will resume its services from Siliguri – Darjeeling from November informs NorthEast Railway General Manager, Mr. Ranjit Singh. He stated that due to 800 meters landslide at Pagaljhora and than Tindharia the train service  has been interrupted, later the Tindharia portion has been repaired and train services from Siliguri to Ghayabari has once again has resume from Feb’2014.

At present four Joy ride from Darjeeling – Ghoom is being operated, Darjeeling – Mahanadi and Silguri – Gahayabari is in service. Out of 800 metres long landslide, around 650 meters road has been restored.
