KOLKATA, 28 MAY: With a 10 per cent increase in domestic tourists as compared to last year, a holiday information portal has come up enabling domestic travellers to spot tourist destination and discover numerous vacations in India. Last year 500 million trips were made by domestic travellers. There is a big market for domestic travellers. The government has shown negligence towards domestic travellers; most of their advertisements target foreign tourists. “We’re not a travel agent. We do not book holiday trips. The websites offers information to domestic travellers giving them details about tour package, hotels, destinations and sight-seeing,” said Mr Hari Nair, CEO, Holidayiq.com.
