PATNA, 20 MAY : The young, smart ADC to the Bihar Governor, a 2006 batch IPS officer, Mr Shivdeep Waman Lande, is an eligible bachelor and his official e-mail ID gets flooded with marriage proposals by a bevy of girls. He had, so long, been simply deleting the unwanted mails, but now that things have gone too far, he has lodged a complaint with the police for cyber crime.
However, girls in the state are not to blame! For, the proposals are the handiwork of mischief-makers, who have opened fake Facebook accounts in his name, showing his status as “unmarried”; they post messages to the effect that he is looking for a “suitable” girl as his life-partner.
Impressed with his style of functioning and smart looks, girls are posting their CVs to his official mail ID, urging the officer to consider marriage requests, much to his bewilderment. The super cop routinely goes on deleting scores of such requests from his mail ID, but very soon this gets flooded with new mails. “The girls are frequently sending their CVs to my official mail ID…this is bizarre,” said Mr Lande, popular among his fans as the Real Dabang, Real Singham and Chulbul Pandey.
The girls got crazy after going through two recent messages posted on his fake Facebook accounts, which read thus: “All those lovely ladies who were waiting for a hint from my side can now contact with my mother. In India, Mother is Supreme” (posted on 6 March); “Yes mom, I am ready for marriage” (posted on 18 February). Both the messages drew hundreds of comments and likes.
“I was startled to see so many Facebook accounts being operated in my name and also messages getting routinely posted on them; I did not open a single account,” said Mr Lande, adding he had asked for a police probe. There are, after all, some things that manage to break a Dabang cop’s composure!
